Here are the
questions I hear most often and the answers to them. So read this page before
you ask; you may be able to find the answer for yourself...and won't that
feel good!
QUESTION:
Are we going to do anything fun in this class?
ANSWER: It depends on what you consider fun. I do my best to make the
class interesting, but you may not find everything as exciting as XBOX.
If you have suggestions I can use to make the class more "fun"
then let me know. I may just use your idea.
QUESTION: How old are you?
ANSWER: Let's put it this way...old enough to know better, young enough
to keep an open mind. Does it really matter? If it does then do the math:
I have a sister who was born in 1975. She graduated from high school in
1993. I graduated from college in 1996. My son was born in July of 2001.
My wife graduated from high school in 1991. She has brown hair that is
about 4 inches passed her shoulders. My wife and I graduated from high
school the same year. She is five days younger than I am. My wife and
I got our dog, Copper, in May of 1998. At the time we were married just
under a year. That should be all the information you need.
QUESTION: How long have you been teaching?
ANSWER: This is my fourth year at Royal. Before that I taght at Chatsworth
High School for four years, where I was also the Head Wrestling Coach.
QUESTION: Are you married?
ANSWER: Yup...I married my high school girlfriend. We've been married
since 1997...and a couple since 1989!
QUESTION: Where do you live?
ANSWER: I'd tell you, but then I'd have to move.
QUESTION: What do you do for fun?
ANSWER: I am a teacher...I never have fun. When you guys leave for the
weekend, I climb into the cabinet and wait for Monday. I like to play
racquetball and play on my computer: designing web pages, graphic design,
playing arcade classics. I also like to spend time with my family and
friends. Another thing I like is writing and reading. Imagine that.
QUESTION: Do we have to do this?
ANSWER: In my class you never have to do anything you don't want to, you
just won't get the credit for the assignment.
